MOA is a South African advertising platform that allows you to advertise your own items to auction off by simply following the prompted dialog. We have identified the need for DIY sellers, Dealers and Goods Disposal Companies to have access to a easy to use Auction based, Online Advertising platform. MyOwnAuction.co.za is designed to give both Buyers and Sellers full control of their transaction without paying a cent on commissions.

Depends on your Subscription Package. You can also confirm the number of packages and days remaining in My dashboard/My Auction page.
You determine date and the duration by selection a start and closing date and time of your Auction.
Note that you cannot choose a time within the first two hours of placing the advertisement. This gives you two hours to edit or do corrections before your Auction starts.
You can advertise the same lot again, pending the Lot limit remaining on your profile. See the Re-list icon in your Dashboard/ My Auctions.
A subscribed auctioneer does have automatic access as a Bidder, but a Bidder must register first to be able to bid on an auction. This registration process is free as a Bidder.

Bids on your auction are not visible to other prospective bidders. The auctioneer alone will receive the bidding information at close of auction.
The buyer is responsible for the transport or courier fees. This can ultimately be part of the transaction negotiation process between buyer and seller outside of the mandate of this site.

You can share an Auction to be viewed by friends by clicking on the “Share” icon on the right, upper corner within the auction screen.
At the close of auction, the Auctioneer and buyer (Bidder) receive each other's contact information. The Auctioneer still has the final say to conduct the transaction.

Yes. You can set a “starting price”. The auctioneer (seller) sells at their discretion.
Yes, you will have 2 hours from listing your auction to start of auction to edit. Once auction starts, you cannot edit the lot anymore. This is to protect prospective buyers.
No. We only facilitate the connection.
Payment, collection, and delivery are arranged directly between buyer and seller.
The seller can move to the next highest bidder or relist the item.
Yes. We offer flexible, customised packages for individuals, SMEs, and large businesses.
Basic registration is required. Additional verification may be requested for higher-value listings.
Yes. Depending on your subscription, you can run multiple listings simultaneously.

Buyer’s
During the advertising process, the auctioneer will be prompted to select an on-site location (same location as profile), or to select an off-site location (new location). This location will clearly show on the auction advertisement. Note: all locations are approximated to the nearest suburb. This is to protect the personal information of the auctioneer.
To register as a Bidder is free. Note: If you are the successful bidder(s), your contact information, as selected during your registration process, will be forwarded to the auctioneer.
There is NO commission payable on top of bidding amounts. In the case of Auction Houses, your commission is deemed to be included in the bidding amount.
We monitor listings, enforce strict content rules, and allow users to report suspicious activity. Repeat offenders are removed and/or restricted
